I'm a fan of against the grain, not usually anything mind blowing but they've got options that are decent across a wide spread. Goodwood is not worth your time I my opinion.

Monnik is probably the best in town, Akasha had good stuff but had a really weird taplist last time I was there 2 years ago that was very heavy on the sweet and flavored beers. I think west 6th has a taproom down there as well. Also I think Hi-Wire has a place in Louisville now. Mile Wide has some good nonipa options as well. Holy Grale is a great little beer bar, there's also a stretch of restaurants that all have pretty good beer options over on Texas St in German town (near Monnik). I'm thinking there's The Post Pizza, 4 pegs, and some German restaurant who's name I'm forgetting right now. All have good options for varied regional tap lists

ICYMI, and there's a good chance you didn't know they existed, but Fusion Brewing in Lexington is closing doors.

Hate that for them. Did some decent beers. I know there were several factors playing into this outcome for Fusion, but hoping this isn’t the beginning of the end for any others. I feel like all other Lexington breweries are thriving so maybe it’s safe to assume this is an isolated thing.

If you're in Louisville, I recommend Holy Grale (bar), Atrium (brewery), Shippingport (brewery), Mile Wide (brewery) and Butchertown Brewing.

Really excited to check out Butchertown, will have to add Atrium given this thread's praise. Their beers look very interesting. Any noteworthy breweries in Lexington worth stopping by. I'll be whoring myself around the distilleries so if nothing worthwhile I can take a pass.

Definitely hit Ethereal since there's also two distilleries and a cidery sharing the same parking lot.

Mirror Twin does the most hyped styles, West Sixth and Country Boy are the most established, Rock House is the most indie-feeling.

they have limited hours, but we went yesterday, and I hope for your sake the Peanut Butter Cup Stout is still on when you get there.

I was so psyched with our visit I'm considering a membership. Hopefully that hasn't happened yet this fall.

And the brewery isn't even listed on this website. I have submitted it to tptb.

I was there this past weekend and they still had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup stout on then, but I really liked their Pumpkin Pie Sour. Would definitely want to stop back in on my next trip to Louisville!
