headed to lexington and louisville in a couple of weeks. Probably only have time for 2 breweries max in each city: thinking butchertown and atrium or mile wide (louisville) mirror twin and ehereal in lexington. how am i doing?

Good choices. Depending on your arrival date, Ethereal usually has Baba Yaga Day on the last Saturday of January (pre-dawn bottleshare, bottle sale, extra variants on draft).

I was super underwhelmed by Atrium on my one visit. I'd recommend Monnik as your second stop in the city.

There might be 1-2 on tap a week after, but bottles usually sell out that day. Their website allows for to-go ordering, there's a chance any leftovers might show up on there and you could snag them that way. I would recommend their Bellerophon (bba barleywine) and Priory of Shadows bottles either way, provided they also survive through Baba Day.

Every year I say I’m going to make it to Ethereal for the release and every year something gets in the way. This year is no exception and I’m bummed about it.

If we were in town next weekend, I'd try to meet up with you, but let me see if being unreasonably sexy can get me any assistance over at the brewery.

Visiting Louisville for the first time this upcoming weekend.
More of a bourbon (duh) focused crowd/trip but will certainly look to try a few new to me beers. We are staying within walking distance of Butchertown brewing so that is one stop we will try to get in.
Anything else in that general area we should check out? Any cans or packaged beer I should look for to drink at the airbnb?

No car so some of the further out stops are unlikely. Thanks for any intel.

Depending on what time you arrive, Butchertown has a Blended BA coffee stout on tap and in limited bottles Friday. Limited for this place meant less than 25 during the last 'limited' release.

I wonder if the delivery/service apps would deliver Atrium cans to you, because that's what I'd recommend.

@IMFletcher - I know you’ve been a long time contributor on this board, with great information on KY. Going to be hitting the city of Louisville this weekend. Recently hit Gallant, Fox, Gravely , and HiWire. Any recommendations on other spots to try with unique or interesting beers currently?

Butchertown drops bottles of their BA vanilla stout Saturday at noon to the public, and there are not many bottles available. There will be pours, though.

If you show up earlier than noon - say, 11ish, there's a member event/share for the release and I will be there with my better half.

I'd also visit Atrium and Mile Wide.

Just fyi for any other visitors, I could not get cans/to go options delivered from Uber Eats or Drizzly from any local breweries in Louisville. The options were just liquor stores which was more of "we'll make due" selection.
On our walks around we stopped in for a beer at West Sixth and Goodwood, chosen mostly for convenience. The beers we tried were fine, nothing too impressive, nice friendly staff at both spots.
