Recently went to Chicago and tried this AMAZING beer, but now I'm back in Los Angeles and the nearest place that caries it is in New Mexico... Help? Does anybody know an online retailer that would ship this beer to California?

Tastes like a flat Coca-Cola. Drink that instead

aw really? I liked it! Do you have any other suggestions for a Bourbon or Scotch ale that might be available on the west coast?

If you don't prefer mixing liquor with beer, you won't like Bourbon Barrel Ale It tastes like somebody slipped a shot of bourbon in the bottle.

Drained poured as well but I drain pour a lot. Do not waste the calories or the alcohol when I have something else begging to be tried.

I tried Anderson Valley's Wild Turkey Barrel-Aged. I found it to be a bit thin. It reviews well, so don't take my word for it.

Had the Stout on tap on a half off draft day and I didn't think it was too bad. Rather enjoyable, but nothing special. Haven't had the Ale, but have read terrible things about it from other BA'ers.

As was said, it is a "Gateway", something we try, sometimes like, but then we move on to better. It was the 2nd BBA ale that I tried. I don't mind getting a single bottle now and then, but will not spring for a 4-pack at $11.99.
