Hey everyone...I'll be in Berea, Kentucky this thursday-sunday. Are there any must haves I need to pick up? I read country boy was a must do...what bottles do I need to pick up? I won't be driving back West until Sunday. So I will probably miss Sergios as I'll be long gone. Can I find good against the grain bombers? Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Berea's pretty barren, as far as I know. You're about an hour south of Lexington (a little further to the brewery side of town).

Country Boy is a definite must-do, and they still have two barrel-aged bombers for sale. You can find most AtG stuff in stores in Lexington (not Bo & Luke).

There's a number of Belgian Beer Week events in Lexington, check www.lexbeerscene.com for details.

Berea is in a dry county, I don't think you can buy anything retail, I know you can't in a restaurant.

Lexington is not far north on I-75. There is a Liquor Barn just off of I-75 at the Man O War exit.

I was just thinking Berea might be in a dry county, was going back to double check. Thanks.

It's less than an hour from Berea to Lexington. I second the recommendation for the Liquor Barn at the Man O war exit. As an aside, beware there are often speed traps on I-75 between Berea and Richmond especially near exit 87 in Richmond.
