Camp Nelson kinda reminds me of og Nelson. I’m thinking it’s a west coast/clear. Or is it a unfiltered west coast? I was expecting a clear pour. Regardless, it’s very good.

 

Nice, got a pack of that coming and am always hoping any nelson beer reminds me of OG Nelson.

 

Just placed my order. Can’t wait to try Nelson Camp and really looking forward to Citra again since the last batch was fire!

 

We don't filter any of our beers and rarely clarify unless it is important for the style. I don't feel like clarity for IPAs is as important now as it used to be...

Camp Nelson is more of a W.C. but has a significant amount of protein from rye. It should clear out with a little time, but like most of our IPAs, if you get it fresh, it will have haze. Same with Citra.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised with Camp Nelson. I picked up a 4pk and a 4pk of Intergalactic Space Tuber (Kerns version of a hazy) at Mr K’s on the way hone from LAX. Well out of the way to home. It was well worth the traffic and getting home an hour late. I had a Great Notion Mail Owl first before I opened Camp Nelson. The Mail Owl was still very good for almost a month out. But that Camp Nelson was so fresh and delicious. So I put my order in for 3 4pks of Camp Nelson and 3 4pks of Citra DIPA. I have a feeling Camp Nelson will blow Citra out. @KRBCEric and Kern River is back on top of their game. My last order of Class V, Side Hike and Shuttle Bunny were all spot on good.

 

Glad you are enjoying the beer. Doing our best. Still some areas for improvement, but that will never end...

 

Anyone in LBC looking to split a delivery of Citra and Camp Nelson IPA? I am looking for 1 four pack of each.

you can buy half cases on the website for delivery. Costs $12 for shipping I think (vs $20 for a whole case). You could throw another 4 pack in there, but don't have to. Hope that helps.

 

I might be able to let a 4pk Citra go. But that Camp Nelson? Don’t think so. Check Wine Country ad they may be getting Camp Nelson in this week. I’ve seen CN and ST showing up here and there. Mr K’s and Windsor (CN).

Same question, need to know when it ships and delivers so I can determine which address to use.

 

The plan was to ship Friday and arrive saturday. Pre-order cases shipped yesterday.


There will be more batches of both beers that will go into distro, but I can't control pricing and quantities at that point

 

So it looks like Friday>Saturday.

 

Distro is the magic word! Any chance you can give us a heads up when they’re out in the wild?

 

There won't be any distro outside of Kern County from this batch. Probably a couple of weeks until the next batch cans. I'll keep you posted.
