I see JO hit the shelves in waves at those shops that typically had it on shelves before Citra went big. I remember the day when Vendome Beverly Hills got a case of Citra and it was on the shelf for a day or two before I ended up with the majority of it.

Yes, Citra was on the shelves at Total Wine in Tustin and i'd drive from HB to get bottles. Unlimited. JO was always on the shelves all over the local stores. Sitting right next to class V.

The limited distro in So Cal is mostly due to the limit on production that they currently have I would assume. The new production addition should make it more available. KRBC wants more of its product out there just as much as us consumers want it out there.

I'd love for citra to get distro. Keep losing on the darn lottery. And JO in cans would be fantastic

I honestly don't know if I want Citra to hit distribution given the way truck chasing is these days. I enjoy the drive up to Kern and tossing a couple back with the food and environment.

Now dat JO in a can... Oh man, that could be dangerous for me.

Agree!! Id rather go up there, nothing like a citra with an awesome breezy view.

Ya I'm not sure how I feel about the truck chasing thing. The last time Citra got distro people were posting hauls on IG of like 12 bottles. So I guess truck chasers = losing the lottery. Results in no Citra. What I would hope is that over time the availability of it would make the truck chasing wear off.

And I think JO is going to translate very well to a can. Simcoe always tastes awesome to me canned

Just like back in the day. KRBC bottles sitting in the cooler. And that didn't last long. Bring em back. Cans and all.

Firestone fest lineup just got posted and KRBC is bringing some of my favorite dipa to it, so I'm assuming they didn't just brew 5gallons

But that's the norm. You come to expect Kern River to bring Citra to the festival, so they make a small enough batch to fill some kegs to ship off to Firestone and draft at Kern.
