Yup. I was just quietly hoping they won't decide to change that pattern this year and here it is, a confirmation at last!

Last go around they had enough to bottle. I'll give a local report if that ends up happening.

Has JO production increased recently? I've seen bottles in SLO county and multiple spots in OC over the past few weeks.

Here is a picture showing that work is going on with the expansion. [IMG]

Woooaaah, that's huge! I'm probably more excited than the owners. Lol.

I know this isn't trailadvocate.com, but does anyone have recommendations for cool day hikes within 30 min of the brewery?

The latest one I have been doing is the Mill Creek trail. The Whiskey Flat trail is right across the river from the brewery but is mostly flat and long. The Kern River trail is good when the wild flowers are in bloom.

    That's a beautiful sight.
With the new brewery on the way and all of it's beautiful new SS toys inside to play with....
will they continue to put out the same deliciousness? Same water source. New but different equipment? Larger batch output? Plus will a canning line be inside?

There are lots of nice hikes; we have a map posted in the brewery. The four-mile trail that goes upriver from the Johnsondale bridge is a good one. Whiskey Flat (from Kernville) is OK if you know which forks to take. You can also cross the river at the swinging bridge (upriver) and hike down the Whiskey flat trail. Unal trail up on Alta Sierra is a nice hike with views at the top. Valhalla is a good one too, but will only tell you in person how to get there - local knowledge hike

Same water source. New and bigger equipment (30 bbl brewhouse, 60 bbl fermenters). In the process of ordering canning line...

Hopefully same (if not more) deliciousness. We will have more QA in place (new building has a lab room and new lab equipment on order).

    Hope that helps!

Is that next door to the pub? You guys are at Firestone Walker this year?

Can't wait to see more JO and Class 5 available.

I'm not Eric, but I can answer both. Yes, this is being built just behind the existing brewery/pub. They will be at FWIBF and pouring Citra (DIPA), Hop Nookie (Triple IPA), Gravity Check (Session IPA), and Class V Stout.

Is there anyway to accurately know what's on tap at the brewery? I feel like the website is not accurate. Trying to decide if I want to add a couple hours to my drive to Vegas today.

Only place I've seen them post the tap list is occasionally on their Facebook. Best bet would be to call and ask. The couple extra hours would be worth it regardless!

Admittedly, the website has not been what it should be. We have changed servers and will be updating the website this fall to have a more interactive tap list and bottle list, but for now the old fashioned phone (or new fangled e-mail) works best.
As of the beginning of the weekend, we had JO, Think Tank #4, Hop Nookie, Dirty Hippie, Class V, 1310 Porter, Saison, Red, Gravity Check and Blonde on tap. Jo and Dirty Hippie in bottles. Not sure what the status is right now; been watching the kids most of the Holiday weekend while Rebecca runs the pub.

Thanks Eric, might as well head up for lunch, add a couple hours to my trip and mix up that mundane drive a little.

Think Tank #4 is legit. So good!
