Kern River Brewing Co.

Myself and a couple buddies plan to stop at Lengthwise and Temblor in Bakersfield and arrive in Kernville in the afternoon. We will doing a small bottle share at the Kern Lodge if anybody is interested.

Apparently a new brew has been put on at KRBC. Perspicacity: a Double IPA with Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic, and Simcoe that was brewed specially for Sacramento Beer Week. I'll report back when I go up and try it tonight.

 

No idea where it will be. And I can't even report back on it. The keg kicked before I could get a growler fill :-(

 

damn, now I just need to hope all those folks got their bottles already in the past week so they won't kick that keg when I get up there on Sunday.

What's on for fill this weekend, anyone around?

 

At the moment we have 1 growler limits on Dirty Hippy and Hop Nookie, and unlimited fills on our 4 flagships, 1310 Porter, Wit (new batch, different yeast), and Perspicacity (kegged an hour ago). Also no pint limit on Citra, if you're into that.

 

Do you have bottles of just outstanding as well?

Class V. 1/2 of it got pressed through Stumptown's Hairbender lovely thing

Does anyone know when the next round of Citra will be available either on draft or in bottles? Will be making a trip out to Kernville through Memorial Day weekend and stopping at the brewery either way, but just curious.
