I'll have to agree with you on this one. That's why I buy the JO in cans these days. Theres a small white label stamped with the canning date on the top part of the can holder. As far as bottles I will purchase bottles only if I know my local just got the case in. Plus he will tell me what the case date is on the bottles. But yes, I wish KRBC would put the dates on the bottles as well.

May I ask where did you find your Buddy cans? I'm in search of a good buddy.

None of the cans, holders, etc, have any dates on them. No stickers, stamps, etc. No one will but them in my area, and they just clog up space. Seriously sad considering how good it is when fresh.

The most recent batch I got was from the Wine Country in LB and the date was 9-8-17. I'm not complaining. I just need me some Buddy, buddy.

Picked up some Just Outstanding dated 9-8-17 at Windsor Homebrew. They had plenty of River Buddy also, dated 8-28-17. Dates are on a white sticker on the plastic can holder. Maybe some vendors are removing them?

Late to the party, I know but River Buddy in cans is a dream come true for me. I adore that beer.

Now if only they did Class V in cans...

    Per the last Kern email:

Well, guess the Citra tickets are STILL available and everyone has finally moved on from the hype in this beer. Oh well, I didn't even like Igor as a base beer so I can't imagine the rum version being any better. Maybe we'll end up seeing Citra in stores collecting dust.

I would love to try Kern River Citra - if anyone is looking to get rid of a bottle or two or three from the upcoming release, let me know.

I don't know about collecting dust. But if it does show up in OC/LA (HB) I will have to pick up a couple of bottle for old times sake. I skipped the release this year. First time since it's OG release back when...... Maybe they will do a hazy version of Citra and can it in 16oz cans, all the HazeBroads or HazeTransgenders will line up outside of KRBC?
Seriously....I am missing my weekend trip to Kernville and all of its beauty including a couple of nights drinking inside the brewery/pub. Great times.
Looks like they will have plenty of bottles for sale at the brewery.

Good for you. I still may try and make it up there for the 2nd Citra weekend (bottles or no bottles).

    Alright ramblers, let's get rambling....

How's the Citra this time around? I'm hopeful but.... Worst case scenario, its an excuse to snag river buddy 6 packs, long swim, and looks like there are some new IPAs as well...

IMHO Citra is a shell of it's former self, even as beautiful as the area is I won't go up anymore for the beer.

    Cheers,
