I thought this batch was pretty damn tasty. But, everyone knows beers are a meeeelion times better if you have to camp out for hours in a line for them.

Yes, for whatever reason (new brew house?, head brewer moving along?) Citra hasn't been what it was. I'm hopeful the process will get more and more dialed in. It's a great time out and the new beers we've had that are on at the release have been good to really fucking good.

 

What I would give for more of that coffee stout they had a few releases ago...

 

Class V is one of my favorite stouts. 8.5%...come on man. Still can't get enough of those Buddy cans. JO in cans! Throw in Long Swim and Hop Nookie and an occasional Dirty Hippie. You got a party going on.

 

Maybe they should put out Citra DIPA in bottles for distro? But it sounds like it's a heavy Citra bottle weekend release still in full swing. Are bottles of Citra on sale at the brewery?

 

I'm fine with Citra falling off a little because the rest of their IPAs have been getting better and better.

 

Winter DIPA is delicious as usual. I think it's my favorite of their IPAs.

 

Winter Double IPA. So good. And fresh.

 

New can release coming next spring. Chuuurch IPA. It’ll be on draft at the brewpub in January. Interesting.

A friend of mine just visited KRBC. She grabbed me a bottle of Rum barrel aged Igor Unchained. I am hoping its good! I have never even tried regular Igor Unchained.

 

Regular isn't that great to begin with. Last time I ever max out like that.

 

I read great things on untappd about the rum barrel version. I can only hope its good.

 

So another Citra batch coming soon.....bottles or cans? Distro?

What about Church IPA? Heard it was released today. 6pk cans at the usual spots in the OC and LA area?

 

Citra six packs. Very smart move.

 

Hopefully this will be available in OC and LA. Or is it online sale and pick up at brewery only. Either way the 6pk cans a good thing. Plus new Church 6pk cans will be out early Feb. Church kegs will be out at the usual distribution spots this week.
