I love going to Kern and of course KRBC. I can't wait to go again this year, I want to spend a little more time out there though.

Trail of 100 Giants is awesome as are the hot springs, never heard of Alabama Hills... I'll check that out next time.

Overnight it, dude. Totally worth it.

 

The last bottle I got was probably a month and half ago or two. That was a good one. I think it was over 3 months ago that I thought was terrible. I was lucky to get the last one at Mr Kegs.

I love the drive. I was out in the Mojave this past weekend at a Mad Max thing in the desert and was half tempted to go to Kern on Sunday. I look forward to not winning the lotto, but sniping dat second chance.

Just arrived here at KRBC. The very nice lady told me they had the usual 4 on tap. Plus Gravity Chech, Hop Nooky, "Dirty Hippie", Think Tank and special release 2 days ago.......CITRA! Yes. Citra! On my 2nd glass right now. This is as good as it get guys and gals. Enuff said.

 

NOT KOOL ..... enjoy my friend. I don't follow this too much but did anyone know they were tapping citra today?

 

I didn't know. Came to do some camping with my oldest son. Stopped in to eat and enjoy some JO and special releases and was told that Citra was on. 3 glasses and done. We are now heading out to Alabama Hills to camp with growler fills if Dirty Hippie and Class V, case of JO and bottles of Gravity Check and Shuttle Bunny! I'll be back for more Citra in a month for the next release.
And how was the Citra? Totally awesome. If your nearby or want some now, git in up here guys.

 

I can say for sure that some of the last JO bottles I've had have been less than yummy. Hopefully they are fixing it up and they are outstanding again. MUST get citra now!

 

I got 2 bottles of JO last week from WFs and they were outstanding. That being said the bottles I just got from the brewery were bottled 4 days ago.

Good for you and props to KRBC for rewarding the locals first! Funny thing is that I was actually thinking about going there for one night this weekend.

It's 7am Sunday morning out in the Alabama Hills looking up at clouds covering Mt Whitney having a early morning Shuttle Bunny. Looks like it's snowing on the top of Whitney. Rain and thunderstorms on its way later this morning.
It's funny how things turn out. Wasn't expecting Citra on tap yesterday at KRBC. No special event for its release. Probably just getting ready for its initial release next month. And it will be available sometime next year in the SoCal area once again. How much? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
