I started off with Hopus which is in no way what I expected. Having a real struggle with what's next as I'm paralysed by choice.

I am still not 100% but bbc4's punk Britannia has rallied me enough to listen to some punk and new wave and crack open the hogshead bitter

Just to clarify: is £1.50-£1.80 expensive for a half pint at a beer festival?

Bought (another) case of Blue Moon, just to tide me through.

Kick off the evening with a glass of 2006 Chateau La Fleur Baron, now on a Weihenstephaner Kristal.

A bottle of Banana Bread in the freezer to come

Probably depends on the festival, but sounds about right to me. When I went to the York fest last year halves were about £1.50 or so (maybe a bit more for some beers).

Mmm, equates to £3-£3.60/pint. Less that High St prices here, so ...yes. Just.

I've developed a taste for it. I'm not quite an ale/beer drinker so this is a kind of halfway house between those and my beloved Weissbrau

Where are you that beer costs that much?! When I saw Landlord for £3 a pint in my local I almost passed out.

an ipa hopped with 19 diff hops, like the man from Del Monte made an exotic fruit beer . I do believe i'd like another and a Brodies Kiwi IPA side by side to compare fruity hop overload.

I know what you mean about st being not what you expect, not bad though or is that my taste being swayed by getting a free bottle from my local Belgium beer house lol ! In other news rock music and beer must have some medicinal quality I feel a whole lot better since my dear old dad is living it up down in st. Ives going to pour some st. Austell tribute into my sus sus sus suspect device

Glasgow. For Example, a pint of Weihenstephan in a place I go to is £4.60/pint. Paulaner is around £4.30. Erdinger around £3.90...

In fact, if I get anything over £1 odd in change from a tenner for a couple of drinks these days I'm surprised.

I'd suppose if I had a "local" nearby, prices would be cheaper, indeed I walk past a pub every day that advertises pints of Fosters for ~£2.80. But, Fosters? I'd rather die.

Okay, I've narrowed it down to Cairngorm Wildcat, Williams Brod Birds and Bees or Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel. All worthy footsoldiers.

Bloody hell that's dearer than the places in London i've been too. Come to Wales and you'll be looking at £2.20-£2.80 a pint (£3 max for good English stuff)

Right then - it's got to be the Birds & Bees. Although Wildcat sounds interesting as well.....

I'd say that's what Scotland lacks (in general). There are a lot of "poseur" bars selling your Peronis and Morettis ofr inflated prices, then there are the "old men's" pubs selling Tennents and Belhaven for a good bit less, but very few establishments in between.
In fact, the only place I can think of that does a "good" range of beers would be the Wetherspoons, but, again, I'd rather die than drink in those soulless, barrel-scraping places.
