Using it for the first time I ordered a pound. I am making a mild. Is a pound too much?

Current formulation: 78.9% Golden Promise, 10.5% coffee malt, 5.25% pale chocolate, 2.5% 45L English Crystal. 1.5 oz fuggles boil, 1.5 oz goldings, flameout Windsor yeast.

Also curious: coffee malt be mashed?

Typo: 5.25% crystal. Also meant to say must be mashed, but sort of glad I didn't

Imo kiln cfffee malt is more toasty than coffee flavored, and has a slightly rough edge to it. A pound might be pushing it a tad but wouldnt be unheard of, it just might need a bit more time to smooth out.

Otherwise the beer looks really tasty, reminds me of a mild I make using MO, pale choco, and special roast
