There are a ton of people trying this beer everyday and it becomes available on the shelf every once in a while.
besides, it hasent been brewed in three years.

I am sure Goose will make both beers again, under a different name. Using the information re: buffalo trace distillate vs true PVW barrels. They have the space and time to do it.

    Cheers!

You are wrong, they will not make the same beers again. They will make different beers. If they are the same beers with different names people will want to merge the reviews. They will be different beers so we can have more ticks. I expected more from you James.

Just thought I'd get the group concencus.

Having a CW BBBW now which is hitting the spot just fine.

I've got 2 bottles of KH waiting at home, but the wife wants to save them for a special occasion because they were bottled on our wedding day (10/8/11).

Now now, King Stephen succeeded Henry I. Of course, if GI wants to get really nerdy they can release 1141 bottles of Empress Matilda (since that was the only year in which King Henry's daughter controlled the country).

Drink one now. It's best fresh, imo based on other barrel aged English style barleywine. You can save the other one for a special occasion.

Yeah, I agree I was excellent fresh...opened 2 immediately and enjoyed...

The last two are 'on anniversary reserve' it seems...

    Cheers!

At sixty bottles of vanilla compared to hundred of King Henry that isn't a real release.. its a teaser.

So what you're saying is, if you want a true PVW bottle buy the family reserve in the next year or 2?
    Thanks.

it's all subjective. they're all "real", since PVW is just a brand name. but if you want the exact stuff that has won acclaim for the past generation, then i'm guessing yes, PVW20 now, and PVW23 soon. PVW15 is already all buffalo trace. these three are all labeled with "family reserve".
