IMO the beer tastes the same and it was delicious, glad I was able to get a few bottles again. Any given day I may give a different rating to the exact same beer. Don't specific beers just taste better some days compared to others?

    That's a good point.

For example, King Sue doesn't taste as good today as it did last year, or the year before.

I always thought Hulk Hogan retired, but the Hulkster is still trolling like the NWO is still around. Brother! Opinions are like assholes, in that, most assholes share and share and share and share and share and share their opinions.
Wish I could've skipped work, got in line, paid for 3 bottles, then bitched about how 8, 9.5 and 10 are leagues apart (because you are all professional beer raters, right???!?!??!?!) If any of my friends/relative/lovers/acquaintances started sharing their beer scores with me... I will verbally punch them in the nuts/ovaries.

This is my first batch of King Sue because I'm super #newmoney. I can't compare this batch of KS to previous batches, however I can compare it to a number of DIPA's that I've had the pleasure of trying.

This beer (I had it on tap yesterday at the taproom) is not in my top 5 IPA's. The flavor is ok, but not great. There's some citrus, grapefruit, and an underlying hop bitterness, however my big problem is that there is little going on in the nose. When I had the pleasure of trying Hill Farmstaed Double Citra the aromas jumped out of my glass. Now that's what I want in a big, hop forward beer.

Maybe it's always been this way, I don't know.

I thought I read somewhere they have a surplus of Citra going into next year so they will be releasing King once more this year, and once a month next year but it will be taproom only. Did I dream that up?

Yeah, opinions are terrible. We should just start talking in facts, all objective-like.

I get it, dude, you love TG and King Sue. Great. I'm glad someone does, honestly, no sarcasm. They are a good brewery and it is a good beer.

As I've said before, most people's issue with TG is that they used to be a great borderline amazing brewery, and now they are merely good. King Sue used to be an absolutely ridiculous beer around 4.75/5 for me. This batch was around a flat 4. Yes, it's still better than a lot of other beers, but it's not as awesome as it once was. It just wasn't explosive like it used to be; the aroma and flavor were both ephemeral. Oh well.

My point is that we're on an Internet discussion forum hosted on a website built around opinions. If you don't want opinions, go elsewhere. If you can be a big boy or girl and have a reasoned, calm discussion about adult beverages, by all means stay here. It'd be boring if we all thought TG sucked outright; then where would the drama be?

Nowhere did I say anything about:
    1. others should stop sharing opinions.
    2. my love for TG. I am an army kid. I have no loyalty to imaginary state lines.
    3. my love for KSue. I am an equal opportunity beer drinker. I drink what I think is good/great/borderline amazing.

People sharing their OPINIONS that KSue is as good as ever are getting lambasted by the assholes stating that 9.5 is not 10 bro! I've had KSue once... Last years bottles whenever that was released with Sosus.

And posters stating a beer is good/great/borderline amazing and a brewery as good/great/borderline amazing is all subjective. Yes you picked a lot of adjectives for people to agree with so you seem like the "winner" of the thread. And your also one of the condescending assholes who could very well keep 90% of your opinions to yourself.

I like to ridicule the mouth breathers, neckbeards, mom's basement types or whatever you want to call them, while enjoying beer.

    CHEERS!
