Having had both King Sue and Regifter, I can say @HawkeyeNation is right: they're extremely different beers in every aspect. The King looks like all of those great, hazy New England (I)IPAs like Trillium, Other Half, Tree House, Hill Farmstead: mostly opaque, full of sediment, brazenly unfiltered, and glowing, all-in-all not unlike full-pulp orange juice. Regifter looked like any generic (I)IPA, such as Hopslam: crystal clear, brassy, and just common. Regifter was heavy on earthy aromas and flavors like garlic, onion, and pine. King Sue tasted and smelled like the orange juice that it looked like.

If Regifter was supposed to be King Sue, TG is in seriously dire straits. I also have to say that I tried Easy Rider, and while it looked significantly hazier and more like the TG (I)IPAs I'd come to know and love, it had this seriously grainy and amateurish backbone that reminded me of mediocre homebrew. I know that that was all the new brewer's doing, and while I will give him the benefit of the doubt while things get dialed in, I think they've got some serious stuff to figure out.

I'm not in the "sky is falling" mindset yet. Obviously the Regifter/King sue stuff is a bit disconcerning, but does anyone know about this new brewer? I thought I saw someone mention he brewed down in KC. Anyone know anything about him or the beers he created or help produce?

The dude who worked in KC is not the head brewer/brew master, but he will be a great addition o their brewing team

Fixed that for ya. FIBS will be all over the Quad Cities drop, so it's basically out of state distro for King Sue!

FIBS = Fucking Illinois Bastards. A term coined by Wisconsinites for people from Illinois who cross the border and steal up all their beerz.

And don't forget clog our highways, sully our lakes and rivers, and drive up our sports ticket prices. I had to pay $30 for nosebleed seats to the Brewers Cubs game on Saturday. C'mon FIBS! Watching a Cubs fan get in a fight a Brewers fan and roll down the entire length of the 400 level stairs was worth it though.

I actually think it is more about them coming to Wisconsin and being on the roads in general, the beer community has seemednto firmly grab ahold of it though.

I can say, they seem to be crazy on the roads. In the Madison area, they always seem to be the ones flying past you going well over the speed limitm

Anyone hear whether King Sue is going to hit MKE? I'm doubting it, as we haven't seen any of the recent deliveries outside of the standards PseudoSue,GNug, etc.

Not this one. Madison got Sosus, Rover Truck, and Xhops last time (didn't make it to Milwaukee), so LaX, and Hudson are getting King Sue. They were going to flip flop for the next brewing, but now King Sue will be taproom only.

Milwaukee did get a huge delivery of the last Psuedo and Gnug bottling. They may still have single bottles left at Discount and the like.
