I find it hard to sign up for a membership for a brewery I've never had a beer from..hopefully they make some good beers and keep the membership sign up period open for long enough.

FWIW it doesn't seem like they are price gouging. A crowler at SingleCut is going to run you $14+.

Sure, its $14/crowler is expensive but at least I know how signlecut tastes

I have to imagine this will be the case. Transmitter's sign-up period lasted awhile (and then their beer became ubiquitous around NYC anyway), and even The Hive wasn't difficult to join (despite Plan Bee having a pretty substantial reputation). With the level of competition around the city now, I can't imagine this being a slugfest to join, given that they have no established reputation, as you alluded to.

Hoping to try some cool new beers by them, it's difficult to not fall to a middle of the pack brewery in NYC with the likes of Grimm Singlecut finback and other half around.

I had some of their beers last year at an event at Arrogant Swine and was very pleased. They had a mango berliner was fantastic. Also, had a gratzer that I really enjoyed. I'll definitely swing by once they open. If what they produced for the event is an indication of the production brews, they will do really well.

If lived in the area I would most likely purchase a membership.

They were pouring at The Sampler, in Bushwick, last night. Their beer was good and looking forward to their opening of their taproom this summer.

would you say 'worth the 100 dollar investment' good?

Only tried their fruit Berliner Weiss beer. Real tasty. I'd think given the quality of what I tried, it would be a good investment.

Tried Robot Fish and Sandcastles last night. Really solid first offerings and was surprised how much I enjoyed the lemon zest saison. Super crush. Would definitely fill a crowler. Patiently awaiting the tap room to open.

the two I've had from them (an IPA and the saison) were great, and the NYC 'beer community' are all saying these guys are the next big thing.

I had Dangerous Precedent tonight at Hops Hill and it was awesome. Juicy, fruity, and delicious. I'll get in line for cans of this right now.

Robot Fish was fine for what it is. I'd put it on par with Forever Ever or Baby Diamonds. Sancastles was also nice, but among the three, Dangerous Precedent was the big winner for me.

I'm joining this, beer untasted, because of the following:
    1. I've heard good things.
    2. I did the same with Rare Barrel and that turned out to be a great decision.
    3. It's pretty cheap.
    4. If it's amazing, and they don't offer it again in the future, I'll FOMO hard.

Anybody take the trip out to the brewery yet? The beers sound very good and $10-$12 for crowlers is fair. I plan on heading out there very soon.
