The museum I work for has recently acquired a kingsbury pelissier's bottle with a swastika on it. We are looking to find out more about this bottle, especially why it has a swastika on it and what era it is from.

To find out what bottle i am looking at (though not this one specifically) go to

The museum would also like know is this bottle as rare as the seller claims.

The swastika dates to the neolithic area. Cultures through out all recorded history have used it, in the late nineteenth, early twentieth century it was a symbol of good luck or success

while that could be true I have also found bottles of the same time period without the swastika, in fact the label looks identical, sans the swastika.

Anything about this bottle that someone knows would be helpful, but especially helpful would be things like...

Is this a bottle that was exported to Germany?

What era is this bottle (out version has a more deteriorated label?

What was the era that Kingsbury and Pelisser worked together (was it just during prohibition and did the pelisser name give buyers a feel that it might be more than near beer?)
