Heading to Kingston with the family next week(coming from Boston) I plan on hitting Suarez, Woodstock, for breweries, and Keegan, Rough Draft and the Anchor for food/drink. If anyone has any must do's., I'd appreciate the info.

    Thanks

Had a solid sandwich at Kingston Bread + Bar - nice local beverage selection as well (enjoyed Guezette from Kingston Standard Brewing)

    LOLA pizza was also delicious

Rough Draft was going to be another rec, glad you’re planning on it

    enjoy!

When did The Anchor switch from a beer bar and burger/wings place to a doughnut/bagel and lunch place?

    Hold please.... crap.

The food looks pretty good, but doesn't seem to be a beer in sight on the menu..

It happened end of spring/early summer. It sucks since that was a cool spot to visit, but I'm glad they were able to pivot their business model instead of just shutting down.

OP you might want to check out Lasting Joy brewery. They're a new spot right down the road from Suarez. The beers probably won't blow you away, but it's a really nice space.

South of Kingston, Arrowwood Farms in Accord is a really nice spot to visit, excellent beers and normally a small food menu. Great outdoor space at this brewery.

Rough Cut in Kerhonkson is more of a pub/restaurant that makes their own delicious beers, well worth a visit.

Kingston Standard in Kingston itself is a small but sweet brewery - focusing on non-hoppy beers.

Beer World in Kingston is of course a great pickup spot.

Suarez is still on my to-do list!

+1 To Rough Draft Bar & Books. Unique spot for coffee, light bites and excellent beers!

Everyone in here has covered most everything I would have suggested. I’m like a proud dad.

If you’re in New Paltz…I’m pretty removed from the scene there but Bacchus for a sit down meal and K&E for stuff to go. Beautiful area, enjoy!
