The one that's harder for regular people (not near either brewery) to get?

Doesn't hurt that Kern brews that version.

Had the KRBC pilot batch on tap and in a growler and it was legit. Hoping the Knee Deep bottles hit local stores so I can side by side with another growler that I'll be getting tomorrow when I head up to pick up my Citra bottles.

Cracked a bottle of the knee deep version last night, the taste was definitely delish but it was way under-carbed, bordering on flat. Hope this was just an off bottle.

Don't think so. I've had 2 so far from the cases we got at our place and they were pretty under carbonated.

If you were manning the bar last night, I was the guy that bought one and split it with you and the other dude at the bar...maybe Dublin got some flat cases. Unlikely though.

I was on your side of the bar around 3 yesterday. I didn't have any there, but took a few home. The 2 I had so far barely had carbonation. Hopefully they all aren't that way...and hopefully our keg isn't either.

Haven't had the bottled version yet. Only on draft at KRBC and growler fills. From what I remebered from the pours at the brewery the carbonation was not that big at all. And the growler pour back at home so far has been low. Not much head. But taste was spot on! Still waiting for bottles to drop in the LA/OC area. It just tapped over at Hollingshead Deli 3 hours ago. But decided to get some Nelson on draft instead. A most excellent choice right now. The GF/ABC Nelson is tasting spot on!

Sorry to say, had it on draft today elsewhere and it was also flat as shit. Such a bummer. Such a delicious beer, just flat.

Kinda bummed about the carbonation issues. I've been holding off on the bottles. Should I pull the trigger or does it make that big a difference?

I don't think the carbonation was a huge impact, and I preferred the KRBC > KDBC, but that's a draft to bottle comparison too FWIW. YMMV

It's been hit or miss for me. The last bottle I opened a couple days ago was pretty flat. The 2 before that were fine.
