I've seen some pretty good Hype on this beer, I received it in a trade yesterday, Thanks MMBright!

This is a fantastic DIPA, I'm blown away by it. One of the better ones i have had. I still need to get a hold of a fresh Bottle of Citra!

I would probably put this in my top 3 fave DIPAs.

    PTE
    PTY
    Sandwich

    I've had most good DIPA
    Hopslam
    Double trouble
    Dreadnaught
    Double Jack
    Maharajah
    Myrcenary

I do have Heady topper coming next week, very excited

Anyone else find Knuckle Sandwich is in the elite class of DIPAs?

Those are all awesome DIPAs. I would add Abrasive and Citra. Heady is pretty amazing. You will enjoy it.

Heady Topper immediately went to the top of my list after I tried it for the first time. I have some Hopslam, Double Trouble and some Myrcenary coming my way in the near future and going to do a night with all 4 to put the HT in perspective. I'm not sure if any will be "better" than HT, probably only different. It's pretty fantastic...

These are all really good DIPA's. I put Citra at the top. I just had my first two Heady's from a trade and enjoyed them very much, however for me not in the same category as Citra. I would recommend also seeking out the amazing DIPA's from Alpine, like Pure Hoppiness and Exponential Hoppiness, the later actually being a triple IPA.I also received in the same trade a couple Hop Slams which I though were excellent. I am drinking fresh Blind Pig right now moving into a little Pliny soon.

Ah yeah. Ive already had a few beers tonight. I have had Pure hoppiness and Exponential. I know they arent DIPAS but had Duet and Nelson also:slight_smile: Nelson is my favorite Alpine beer so far:wink:

I tried the beer a few times before the hype train left the station so my view might be skewed a bit. I think it is a very solid DIPA. It deserves all the hype it gets, but there are a bunch of DIPAs I'd rather drink before Knuckle Sandwich.

That is the beauty of beer. You get to sit back and watch people hype the shit out of stuff only to try it and be let down. Citra comes to mind there. But I'm glad we disagree, if everyone liked the same stuff the beer scene would be pretty boring.

Cheseborough is from Ladyface in Agoura, CA and Larry is from Wachusett in MA.

You're digging some local Ventura Co. stuff, I like it!
Next time you're out here check out Surf Brewing South Swell DIPA from Ventura, best local DIPA IMO.

Who knew this Knuckle Sandwich thread would ever mention my city, Simi Valley, probably one of the worst cities in So. Cal for craft beer :slight_frown:
Wades and Ladyface are great, I'd love to open a beer bar in Simi.
