Looks like Alesmith and Mostra are pairing up again, Mostra posted on Instagram that they are doing a Kona coffee Speedway.

via Alesmith email ..: but zero mention when this will go on sale:

    Speedway Stout with Kona Coffee

Perilously situated on the westerly flank of the active shield volcano, Mauna Loa, Kona coffee beans are the result of nature's ideal coffee growing conditions. The combination of dark, mineral-rich volcanic soil and Hawaii's diurnal cycle of bright sunny mornings, moist rainy afternoons, and mild nights yield a ripe environment for this exceptional coffee. Unlike other coffee producing regions, every Kona berry must be inspected and hand-picked because of the lack of mechanized harvesting techniques available in this rocky location.
AleSmith Brewing Company and Mostra Coffee are proud to introduce another great addition to our Specialty Coffee Speedway Series. Mostra carefully roasted 100% Kona beans to showcase the coffee's nutty sweetness and floral aroma, a seamless complement to our award winning Imperial Stout. Huli Pau!

As a Californian not in SoCal, it makes me sad that I don't get to try all these awesome Speedway variants because I'm not down there and I don't have anything to trade that those guys can't already get.

I wonder if they'll allow mules, err..., proxies on this sale.

Where are you located? There's plenty of stuff that other Californians can get that us SDers can't get. Things like Rare Barrel, SARA and Firestone Barrelworks are gold down here.

Don't give others any ideas man. Trading some speedway variants is how I got my first few rare barrel bottles

I got one bottle of JBM left that I have been holding on to, now with this coming out I am thinking I will need to setup a bottle of each speedway and do a tasting. Could either end great, or horribly if I forget to invite people over.

Pssh, just setup one of your nifty scripts to loop every 24h to remind yourself to invite people over.

SARA is like gold in Nor-Cal too... RB is a bit easier to get. And Buelton is a hell of a drive from Nor-Cal as well.

And I will be working some magic to get a couple bottles of this depending on how it's being sold.

Haha, I have enough alarms going off inside and outside of my house I just need to train my brain that "alarm = don't forget to invite people over". That said, once these are released I may ask the EAH staff if they will allow me to have it at their place.

agree. Kona should be smoother than JBM which was tart and acidic for me.

The JBM that they had at the Beer Geek Release party had mellowed quite a bit, and I liked it quite a bit better than I did when it first came out. I now wish I would have gotten a bottle or two and sat on it a bit.

Any details more details on this? Kona coffee turned me into the coffee snob I am today. Would love to try this.
