Could you get an Irishman to drink one is the real question...

I'd drink another Cass or Hite for nostalgia, but I know I'd pay for it with a horrible hangover. Worst hangover I ever had was after a night of strictly drinking Cass. Only had 20,000W so needed to make my money count.

Funny how they seem to want to all pound it in one go.

A good question----what is the most premium Korean brew out there and can they take it in "one go"?

Indeed----but WHAT do they prefer? I would guess lagers, but what have you noticed?

My wife picked up a bottle of soju last year, just out of curiosity. I figured it would taste like a strong sake, but it was way boozier than I imagined. The stores in my area sell a lot of it, too.

Seeing as there's alcohol in it, I'm sure you'd have no problem getting an Irishman to drink one.

We live in an area with a lot of Korean families, so many liquor stores have these prominent displays. After a while, like I said, you just get curious and have to pick some up.

The one thing I liked (assuming things haven't changed) are the Korean beer commercials.

All they were, were simply a shot of the beer/can... slowly and frothly being poured in some GIANT glass... then chugged by some guy... in slow motion usually... and then downing it and then just exhalting....

    AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Now I notice they are really big on getting the celebrities involved... and sometimes more creative...

Soju is the biggest selling spirit in the world almost entirely thanks to Korea and its diaspora. Crazy that most of the world has never heard of it, then again it's absolutely bloody awful so it's probably for the best.

Koreans race to get drunk and a fair amount of the population drink like fish. Surprisingly though, a fair amount of the population are tee total or have near zero tolerance to alcohol.

That's every Korean beer advert I've ever seen. That heavily apirated AAAAAAAHHHHH used to get on my nerves. A mate of mine is engaged to a model from Seoul and says she's damn near perfect apart from the AAAAAHHHHH. :-D

Yeah, we didn't go back for a second bottle . I will reiterate, though, that I was taken aback with just how strong it was. Like pure alcohol, and not much flavor.
