Not sure what the rules are on this, but we don't receive a dime from this event. All proceeds go to local charities. Figured some folks here might be interested in great beer and a great time...

October sounds like a great time of the year too. Riding Just Outstanding and then having just outstanding ipa is still on my bucket list.

Eric is there typically strong attendance from out of the area at this? It made me think about if there would be enough rooms in town to accommodate visitors, or if lots of people end up camping at the different sites on Sierra.

I think they are limiting tickets to around 800, many of whom will be local. I think if you plan ahead, hotels or camping should be relatively easy to obtain.

I’ve camped along the upper Kern River many a times back in the days of original Citra DIPA releases. The last 7-10 times in Kernville we’ve stayed at one of many motels close to the brewery. Kern Lodge is next door to both the Backyard & original pub. I believe the campground where the event will be held is close by.
I don’t think we’ll be going that weekend. A couple weeks later will be Citra weekend at KRBC. Always a great time!

I have gone for a few years now and am glad it was back at rivernook last year. Camping is a great option there and the festival was vastly improved last year thanks to KRBC and I'm sure will be even better this year.

Yeah, there was some stupid small town drama in the past, to the point we stopped going. With the new organizers things seem really good. We invite the breweries and they put on the event. We require owners/brewers to attend and they all seem to really love it. We all camp together and it’s a great vibe.

I’ve got way too many trips planned this year so I’ve gotta slow down in 25. But if this happens again in ‘26, I’m in.

It’s a party all weekend long in November. It’s a blast just being a n the southern Sierra’s in the fall. Citra fall.

We typically have bands throughout the weekend of Citra release as well as some fun beers that you can only get here, including a Citra variant in cans. I believe it will be the weekend of November 14-16.

Well, that happened fast. VIP sold out and early entry almost gone. If you are interested in this festival, might want to jump on it.

That’s awesome! I’m working on getting a couple buddies to commit to heading up for it.

This isn’t beer-related Eric, but I was wondering if there’s been much concern in the community there about all the land nearby that’s in the proposed “for sale” grid? It looks like a lot of the land around Isabella and everything heading up 99 into Sequoia will be on the block.
