Ive got a bottle of each coming and Ive never had either. So, Im wondering why so much attention for them? Are they that good or is it just a supply and demand thing?

    They're really good!

But that's just me inflating the trade value of what I have...

KRE was one of the best things I've ever tasted. I really liked it more than KBE (but whalez are whalez...)

Had some BBFT at the brewery and, while I don't have many meads to compare it to (maybe ~10), it was pretty phenomenal. I suggest actually drinking both of these and not holding on to them as trophies (as many do)

They didnt have the KBE :slight_frown: which I would prefer. Ill probably end up trading the KRE just cause Im really not into the fruity stuff. The BBFT though, will probably only last as long as it takes to chill it

If you've got a bottle of each coming, I would think the best way to determine what they hype is all about is to just drink them and not reach out to us neckbearded homers to tell you why it's so goddamned good.

KRE is amazing. If you've never had it, try it. You'll regret it eventually if you don't.

This. Im not big on fruit centered beers either but KRE was simply outstanding. Thanks again to Woodchopper for sharing.

Bourbon and French Toast are two things that I love, and when they are combined it just gets me all hot and bothered. I'd say the hype is in place because of the low bottle count, the fact that it is Kuhnehnn, and because it sounds utterly delicious.

OP: You're getting a bottle of KRE, you've never had it, and you're just going to trade it b/c you don't like "the fruity stuff?"

Allow me to kindly suggest that you're doing it wrong.

You probably just made my mind up! Also, I'm getting it from my cousin who lives about 45 min away from Kuhnhenn so I can get whatever they have. Is the KRE a limited release? I guess my question is if I have someone that will pick me up some stuff how hard would it be to get again?

HAHA! I didnt ask for the bottle, my cousin picked it up when he got my BBFT, but I get your point. I guess it would kind of be a dick move to trade it away after that anyway.

They are very good. IMHO KBE is killer. Try the raspberry, let it sit and get warm, it's great. It's boozie too, don't expect just fruity foo foo stuff.

I read the reviews and didnt see any bad ones but I figured they were from people into that style. Oh well, I guess worst case scenario is I dont like it and the wife gets to drink it  (not that I wouldnt share anyway haha)

Awesome, I was afraid it was gonna taste like candy. I'd prefer KBE but they didnt have any.

Hey, it's your beer, do what you want with it. I'm just saying that if you're getting a great beer like that and you've never had it, you really owe it to yourself to drink it. Find a friend to split it with and, like the post above this one says, let it warm up a little. I've never had anything quite like it before. Is it my favorite beer ever? No. Is it one of the most unique beers I've ever had? Without a doubt.
