so i dropped into argonauts for the first time ever on saturday and came across a lonely bottle of cognac barrel aged mikkeller beer geek brunch weasel. i almost couldn't wait to get it home, but when i did when i popped the cap there was no pressure at all, and poured flat as could be and tasted something foul. so after lamenting all weekend i gave argonauts a call today. they were very friendly and appologetic about the experience and are going to replace the bottle for me. so, in light of the poor service threads we've seen about other denver metro bottle shops, i wanted to give kudos to a shop that is doing right by their customers.
I'm glad they took it back, although they'll eat the cost. Where was the bottle; fridge or warm shelf?
it was warm on the shelf next to some 120min IPA. on a side note that place was crazy. i was overwhelmed in there.
Wish I had known about their return policy sooner. I had a few BA Lost Abbey bottles I would have gladly returned
my brother got a weasel at argo this weekend as well (I went for the red poppy)...he wanted to hang onto it for a bit, now I get to place the kernel of doubt!! also, props for posting a positive store thread...
no crap, im still sitting on a few infected 2010 brandy barrel aged angel's share, i dunno why i havent thrown them away, taste like straight up balsamic vinegar. an expensive bottle that they still had on the shelves long after knowing it was infected, too.
I tried to return a gusher of JP to Lukas and they didn't have that sort of returen policy in place. Kudos to Argonauts indeed.
