hello there michiganders! i'm looking for some help, hopefully i can get answers here

so i have 2 2012 ba4d's, however one was a special bottle released in 2013 of 2012 aged in barrels twice as long.

i have since mixed them up, is there anyway to tell them apart? one of them has gold foil on it

    appreciate anny help!

So I just pulled up some old photos I had of these. Not sure what you mean by aging in barrels twice as long, because I don't remember them saying that. But what I can tell you, is that the BA4D released at the party in 2012 did not have foil on it. And then they released a 2nd drop of BA4D in January a month later, and that batch had gold foil. So take that for what it's worth.

    thanks for checking.

so a few years ago a trade partner said they released a special batch of 2012 aged for 2 years in barrels.

i was hoping the foil was one year. reasons like these are why i know have a silver sharpie haha.

that convo is long gone now tho :/

Good Luck! Even Kuhnhenn hasn't made sense of their dated labels. This years winter solstice BBBW say 2014. Last years say 2015.

well i solved the mystery, cracked both of them open and did a side by side, the one without foil has significant more bourbon, yep definity more punch. might be the best ba4d i've had to date. that's not to say the regular ba4d isn't stellar

thanks for the help. so to note for those who have the double aged, no foil

    cheers

Believe the foil is the one aged longer in barrels

Also should be a gold "barrel aged" sticker over the year on the back.
