I think I have one of these, but I'm not sure. I got it in a trade as an extra.

The bottle looks different than the pictures I've seen though. Instead of having a sticker on the bottle neck, it is foil wrapped at the top with the barrel aged logo next to the 4D on the main label.

Basically, I'm unsure if it is regular 4D or BBL, as I've never had either.

I had the barrel aged-version a couple months ago, and it was clearly denoted, as far as I remember. There was no confusion as to what I was drinking.

If you pour the beer and there is little to no head/carbonation, you probably have the barrel-aged version. what is the vintage/bottling date?

Yeah I'm sure I could tell once I open it, just curious to know what I'm getting into. It is 2011.

The 2011's had the barrel aged logo on the label like that, 2010 had the sticker on the neck. And yeah, that's BB4D

thats a pretty nice extra! I thoroughly enjoyed mine. just don't expect much carbonation or a terribly full body.
I describe it as a Sam Adams Utopias "Light"
If you don't want it, send it to me.... I'll get you some Heady Topper.
