What kind of bourbon barrel is 4D aged in? Anybody know?

Just you. If you meant "all the people" then it isn't true as there's a good amount of BAs in SE Mich that drink bourbon on a fairly regular basis.

agreed; i made a similar point a couple of weeks ago here. it's weird because, judging from how some barrel-aged beers taste, it's obvious that a lot of ba's would be fans of pure bourbon.

It's really weird. I think Heaven Hill is awful but it makes a nice barrel aged beer.

well, heaven hill is actually a distillery. which brand of theirs are you referring to? they make elijah craig and evan williams and old fitzgerald bourbon, but also rittenhouse rye, bernheim whiskey, christian brothers brandy...

it's obvious that 50/50 has a hookup there, btw. despite my complaints about eclipse in the past, i'm definitely dropping coin on a bottle when they get fighting **** barrels.

No question, BB4D is $. Definitely preferred '10 to '11 when tasting recently. But, I love BB beers. I am all f'd up right now after having an Uncle Jacob's for breakfast.

(No, I don't do this regularly. Don't get concerned...)

I agree! 2010 is my favorite year as well! 2011 needs a solid year to transform.
