I'm looking for a pic of the old Kuhnhenn Eisbock bottle, the one that was spherical in shape. Any pics out there? Side question, when was this bottle design discontinued? We're any 2004 vintage in this format or was the change made before that? The 2004 I just opened was the tall (relatively speaking) skinny one. Still tasted great. Like a chocolate covered raspberry.
I bought one of the empty bottles from them a few years back, no picture, but the bottle style is known as a Bermuda Bottle. The bottle just had a neck label I seem to recall (from the one that was/is at the bar itself behind the draft lines).
I contacted the brewery and the "Ministry of Beerformation" Jon Piepenbrok, promptly replied with a pic of the bottle in question. Great brewery, great service. Thanks all who contributed to my query.
