    At any rate-Anyone have any clue or insight as to what's happening for the Fall Equinox? Didn't see anything posted yet but looking at past years events this one seems to be more low key, no?

    I plan on going to this Saturday. This will be my first bottle release at Kuhnhenn, but I understand they do this sort of deal on most equinoxes. Anyone been before? Any details or tips anyone would care to share if so?

    Here is the full facebook post;

    We'll be releasing a limited amount of the following beers in pre-packed six-packs (price and limit TBD):

    -TRIPA – 11.5% ABV
    As if DRIPA wasn't enough, we first brewed this Triple Rice IPA for our 2013 Summer Solstice Celebration. The larger grain bill and longer boil leads to a big malty character, yet the hops are still at the forefront, all sticky and citrusy. The finish lingers a bit longer than DRIPA, but is still clean and dry with just a bit of heat.

    -Simcoe Sillier – 11.2% ABV
    Bigger, bolder, sillier. This amped-up variant of our classic Simcoe Silly has a bit more of everything. Tropical fruit notes of mango and pineapple from the Simcoe hops play off of the fruity Belgian yeast esters of fruit, spice and bubblegum, creating an intense onslaught of juicy-fruit goodness. The warming alcohol notes on the finish allow the beer's flavors to linger into an eventual dryness, begging for another satisfying sip.

    ...And maybe more surprises if you're lucky.

    These beers WILL sell out before mid-day, so don't miss out. Doors open at 11:00am; sales begin by 11:30. Line up according to number. ONE purchase per person.

    Hoping the surprise beer is BB4D, but I'm not holding my breath.

    That or BBBW would be my first choice. Or maybe they had some of that sour pumpkin able to be bottled. Would make sense for a fall release.

    Did anybody like TRIPA last year at Summer solstice? They use dry in the description for this event, and that is not the word I would have used to describe it.

    I stopped up the day after and had it. It was good, but noting I would stand in line for. I am still waiting for DRIPA bottles.

    Sorry to threadjack, however has anyone heard about the new Kuhnhenns facility on Grossbeck?

    I thought it was malty as can be, agree with @moshea I wouldn't stand in line for it and definitely wouldn't considering I'd be forced to buy simcoe sillier. A 35$ 6 pack I'm guess....or 45 all days......

    I drove by it on Saturday and it looks like some progress is being made, how much is certainly a mystery. There were a handful (maybe 4?) of huge stainless steel tanks just chilling in the parking lot on their sides with pallets of unidentifiable equipment mixed in. There were a few cars parked there too and the doors were open, so I'd assume some construction was taking place.

    I'd have to figure this is going down much like how Kuhnhenn handles their beer releases...It'll be ready when its ready and they aren't sure when it'll be ready.

    But It'll be worth it when it is finally ready.

    Unless there is an absolute surprise bottle I do not see this selling out fast.
