Limited supply, increased demand - we all know what happens next.

I don't have any problem with people buying to trade - it's the way you can get other beers you'd like to enjoy / share that you normally wouldn't have access to. If someone was buying more to sell it - that is shitty.

Long gone are the days of 10 people at a release, getting as much as they want. People just have to deal with it.

all beer releases attract all kinds of people. i fall into both categories as i like to drink them and trade them. i bought two Maximum Manhattans last week, one i traded and one i plan to drink. i got up, drove 45 minutes, bought my stuff and had a couple pours while i was there. yes i bought some specifically to trade it, the guy in Cali i traded with is pretty happy to have the chance to try it and im happy with what im getting. i dont see any problem with what im doing. the problem i have is with the line cutting and excessive muling.

I don't see much wrong with what you do either, as you actually plan to drink a MM.

I've overheard people moreso at the Winter Solstice about getting their entire allotment (especially of the meads) for trade value. Didn't sound like there was any intent to actually enjoy it.
Tickers gotta tick, traders gotta trade. Pokemon.

Yeah, BBBW and BB4D certainly bring everyone out of the woodwork.

I was happy to get my 6, but I had doubts when I got there at 11:45 and the line was to the popcorn machine. I cannot comment on the people getting extra but of they had the Ok from staff I wont complain. Probly the same types of people who never wait in a line of traffic and cut me off on a daily basis on our pot hole riddled expressways! Its generation E. The E stands for entitled.

FYI. The are hand pumping DRIPA. Apparently, this was also going on yesterday, but I was enjoying the Breakfast Beers and didn't notice. Had a half pour today at lunch and it was fantastic.

Lucky Charms was my favorite, reigning champ from last year.
Cocoa Puffs was delish as usual, too. While Choc PB Crunch wasn't exactly as good as everyone hyped it to be, it was probably one of the best PB stouts I've had. Got to try Apple Jacks after missing that last year; light, but quite tasty. OJ Wit was a mimosa made with witbier instead of champagne, super quaffable. Blueberry Pancake was a totally different beer from last year, but still extremely tasty.

Honestly the only breakfast beer I haven't much cared for is Cinnamon Toast Crunch... tastes like the Cracker Barrel country store & RedHots.

I thought the Lucky Charms was vile and undrinkable. Same with Cinnamon Toast Crunch (just tasted like any beer with red hots at the bottom) and Apple Jacks (same, but with a shot of apple cider.) They were barely beer and they definitely weren't breakfast cereals. Cookie Crisp was tolerable and Coco Puffs was decent.

For me, Peanut Butter Crunch won by a mile. A nice, deep peanut butter flavor and great mouthfeel. It was the only breakfast beer that I would ever order again, and Id probably get it all the time.

Yeah, I was very excited to try it as I heard so many good things. My wife and I both agreed it was undrinkable. Maybe we got a weird pour or something. We couldn't even finish the pint between the two of us.

A couple years ago, all the beers smelled like what they were supposed to but the taste was left a lot to be desired. They might have not been perfect beers this year, but they have come long way. They were all very drinkable (some much more than others) and our entire table shared and got to try them all. My only real dislike was for the Tussin ale (aka Rocks in the Rye).

I just wish they would stick some Cocoa Puffs Stout into a bourbon barrel for next St Paddy's Day.

I thought the cocoa puffs and lucky charms were spot on. The blueberry pancake delivered on blueberry. The cookie crisp was also nice and was the most "beery". Had a taste of apple jacks amd thought it was good also. Had a great time and will go again if schedule allows

Shame about the Rocks in the Rye; I had a glass of it last Summer Beerfest & it wasn't Tussin'y at all, smelled/tasted much like the Faygo soda.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, and for the great support this weekend; we had a blast (although we're all damn tired by now...65 hours in 4 days myself)
Just a heads up, you will rarely, if ever, be able to message me directly on this site with the expectation of a response. I simply don't have the time to check yet another inbox.
Feel free to message me through the Kuhnhenn FB page, as I reply to all inquiries in as timely a matter as humanly possible.
Also, not sure if I have "blocked" anyone or not, but I certainly have no idea how to do it...oh well.
    Cheers

    Jon
