Kuhnhenn Spring Equinox

Wonder when the first person will get there Sunday. With approx 200 6 packs I was hoping for a no hassle show up at noon grab a six an s spend the day there but im a sure that's just wishful thinking.

 

I don't think there are going to be lines... People can show up at noon and be fine - no need to turn this isnt some sort of shit show. It's not KBE or BBBW.

 

Exactly what I am thinking. I know I'm not going early. But f, if I get shut out for whatever reason I'm not going to sweat it. Meads, taps, growler to go... whatevs.

Very curious to see what meads are left and what to expect in a week (if anything).

 

I guarantee people will be there bright and early. People go nuts for these beers but 10 degrees is too damn cold for me to put up with.

Really wish we could talk about the M word on here. The purpose of these threads is to inform, share knowledge, and come together about a common subject people are interested in. The fact a brewery like Kuhnhenn releases beer and M makes it seem like we should be able to talk about these releases they've been having every Saturday so far in March.

 

I wonder if any cool M will be left....I didn't go today nothing too crazy was being released.

 

Anyone try the special beers tapped yet?

 

Rocks on the Rye was solid at the fall fest. I'd just drink a bunch of Mud, that's where it's at on that list.

Not being a downer but "rocks on the rye" was one of the worst beers I've ever tasted. It tasted like tussin. I'm pretty forgiving on matters such as these but I'd be hard pressed to find anyone with taste buds that liked this beer. Honestly I'd be ashamed to sell it. I took one sip at politely set my glass on a random table. I think kuhnhenn makes amazing beer, I waited around for 12+ hours at winter solstice for some...finished

 

Batch variation? It was good, many people thought so. That was actually a recipie that won the homebrew competition and was then brewed and served at the Detroit fall beer fest. I didn't try this new one, just comented based on when I tried it.

 

Ya who knows....HAD to have been. Picture this ....I ask what's this beer , bar tender says it's supposed to be like Faygo rock n rye, I smile, I'll take that. Gives me one..;this is where u Come in. You have this beer in your hand take a big gulp only to discover I've put tussin in ur glass....not even the grape kind either

 

With that being said I'll be there in Line for every release )

 

It's cold in line right now. About 50 people so far.

Also of note is that was a lie and I am warm and in bed.

I just pulled in to drop off my car and head to breakfast. No line that I can see but there are 3 other cars in the lot. Looks like they're empty. Probably people who cabbed it home last night.

 

This is a good idea. Breakfast. Need bacon. Then beer.
