Kuhnhenn's meads goes down like water and they defy the rule that you cant make a mead in 30 days
    Somehow they do

I have been told a couple of times that the raspberry eisbock will be back soon as well but that I will believe when I see it.

FYI... It is just a rumor. You, or your source, may have overheard a "brainstorming conversation" the other day. I'm not saying it won't happen, I just don't want anyone to be let down if it doesn't.
On a side note, Raspberry Eisbock has not been brewed yet, so it definitely won't be at SS in less than 3wks. There will, however, be some awesome one-off releases and some killer meads, as always.

Also I never heard that Raspberry Eisbock was going to be at SS, just that they were in fact going to brew it again after being told a couple years ago they would never make it again. Again, I will believe it when I see it.

Regarding blueberry...just bear in mind that the warm weather and late spring freeze damaged many of the crops in MI, including blueberries, which are estimated at a near-90% crop loss. I'm not saying it definitely won't happen, I am just saying it doesn't look that good. Blueberry was just one idea we discussed.

Don't get me wrong, it would be cool. I'm thinking peach or blackberry would be damn nice too!

I have to talked to a few blueberry farmers, and there wasn't too much damage to the late harvest blueberry bushes(at least in SW Michigan). The early harvest blueberries got the most damage, I don't know what the ratio is of late to early harvest bushes planted around here.

I haven't had any Kuhnhenn meads - any "must haves" from the bottle list?

Is the SS a sh*t-show (ie. crowding, lineups etc)? Debating making my way down there just for the night (me want mead!)...:astonished:

Sweet thanks for the link. Gonna try to hit them up earlier noon ish for a few... got a flight out in the evening so can't stay for the festivites...

All those meads sound interesting, never had any of those. I wonder if theyll let us do a mead flight haha.

Also, is that Wit Braggot a new one there? Never heard of it. Maybe its just a mix of their Wit and their Braggot.

No, it won't be a shitshow. It'll just be people quaffing a bunch of wheat beers and hanging out.

Nothing on that list tickles my fancy. I like their BA meads.

I kind of agree with this. Definitely looking forward to the special beers on tap, but none of the bottles sound like something I absolutely must have. I am still holding out hope that they are keeping something as a surprise.

So let me get this straight...the only actual "beer" bottle that they'll be releasing is the Wit Braggot? Seriously?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a freak for their meads (the Double Hopnoxious sounds like a beast)...but this list is seriously lacking.

EDIT: Or am I just reading this list incorrectly? It says "Bottle (limit six) and draft releases" after the Wit Braggot....so does that apply only to the Wit Braggot or the bottles below that? Ugh.

Personally, I thought it meant that the last two were the ones in bottles, The Michigan Wheat Wine and the Weizenbock. However, that could be off. Would be curious to know if anyone has heard what will actually be in bottles
