I actually feel the COMPLETE opposite. I looooooooooooove Solar Eclipse (that being said, I feel the 2010 release was superior to the last release, but the fact that 2010 was the first time I had it might be skewing my vote a bit haha)... I love the BBA Solar too, but I just dig the Standard Solar more... which is odd for me, since in virtually every other case I prefer a barrel aged variant of any beer. The only other instance of this for me was finally trying Bourbon Huma at Shorts 10th Anny and being horribly let down by it. Again, not that it was bad in any way, but compared to rego Huma/all the other BA Shorts brews i've had, it was extremely sub-par :slight_frown:

If it goes like the last premade sixers they sold, it will be 1 per person... though, depending on who you talked to, they were selling more than one per person (which Kuhnhenn denies doing, but yeah..)
I didn't see it myself, as myself and the people I was with each bought our one sixer then didn't stick around, so I cannot speak on that personally.

On FB they said they would release limits later. Also, they barely ever release a tap list.

Yea, I saw that "release limits later" comment, but that was last week, I believe. (I am not on FB) Not sweating the details too much as I will be glad to just get out there on Friday, eat some BBQ and sample the taps.

Saturday, though, they mentioned "firkins of stuff you've never had". IIRC.

    Kind of excited for that!

Bourbon huma was amazing. I think the problem is anytime you attached "bourbon" or barrel aged to a beer people expect it to taste like BCBS or something. Hard to get a big bourbon taste on an IPA without ruining the original purpose of the base beer.

I had 2010 Solar from bottles at Winter Solstice. I brought one with me to DLD. All that sampled it were shocked it was not barrel aged and was one of the best tasting beers all day, which is obviously saying a lot.

I've only been to the Winter Solstice, but no, I think it's always free to get in.

They were fantastic last year, some really nice surprises. Would be exceptional if some of the good stuff was on right at open on Friday as it was then.

    Nahhhh... thats not it...
Seriously, I am the biggest advocate for wood-aged beers of any kind out of anybody I personally know...
And again, I LOVELOVELOVELOVE Huma, so I was shocked when I didn't care for Bourbon Huma>Rego...
Any other Barrel/Bourbon IPA i've had I really like, but Bourbon Huma was just "Eh.." to me... I guess it has a lot to do with how much I adore the base beer on its own coupled with the intense hype i've always heard about it, and it just didn't live up to the hype at all.

Now Bourbon Bodacious and Bourbon Evil Urges on the other hand? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit... those are amazing...

    Hahah. Simple, I like it.

It looks like none of the beers have been named yet with the exception of the bottles being sold. But like @Clownoisseur said, I'm not going to sweat the tap list, I'm sure it'll be cool. I'll be in attendance either way.
