Hey all, I am planning on taking a trip to some Michigan breweries sometime and figured this may be a good event to schedule around. I am from Pittsburgh so it's about a 5 hour drive... How was the event last year? Around when in December was it and how was it set up in terms of getting bottled beer? Any suggestions or recommendations for places around the area? What other breweries around there are worth stopping at? Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance!
Fun/good time with great beer On the actual day of the Winter Solstice (Google) You mark quantities of each beer you want on a numbered order form sheet. They call your number to pickup/pay when order is ready Champane's is a good bottle shop is just down the block Some other good Michigan breweries (depending on how far you want to drive): Dragonmead Microbrewery is 10 minutes away Jolly Pumpkin is 1 hour away Dark Horse is 2 hours away Founders is 2.5 hours away Livery and Greenbush are 3 hours away (Check out my Kuhnhenn, Jolly Pumpkin & Greenbush photos) Food info in this thread
