They don't bat an eye when I ask for two cases of BB4D. They prep for this event in beautiful ways. You should be fine. I think last year was critical mass and it went very smooth.

Don't know bottle counts, but its a fresh batch that was on the brew board this summer when I photographed the brewery. Since its not an old limited batch, there should be no problem getting the bottles you want.

I am PSYCHED to finally get the Raspberry Eisboch this year!!! I remember getting there at about 7am last year, leisurely time for me, and being 13th in line. I can only hope to have such luck at 4 Elf this year. :grinning:

So they struck Brandy Nine from the list? Super bummer......but sorta intrigued by that "Sol Invictous Saison"....

This will be my first year actually taking in the event. Last year I went and got some brews, but had to go back to work. Looking forward to it for sure.

I'm hoping they'll still have bottles left the following week. Based on what most of you guys say it seems like it shouldn't be an issue to at least snag some stuff later on.

Damn, Brandy 9 was high on my list. Oh well, lots of other good stuff.

I was at the brew shop this past weekend and asked the guy there if he knew what they were planning for the Solstice and he commented that the Bros. hadn't really told any of the employee's yet. But he did say he had a taste of a saison that he thought was going to be available. Said it tasted pretty damn good too.

Bret has posted a preliminary list which has already been edited at least once....sure to be in flux until the day of the event, I'd imagine (and yeah, the saison is now on there).

Scope it out on the event page:

What says the group on BB Solar Eclipse? Worth buying? I've not had the non-bal version, so I'm not sure what to expect. Reviews have it as a very sweet B+ beer. Any guidance?

Anyone from the GR area going and can mule me a couple bottles of BB4D?? I think the lady might leave me if I drive 3 hours for beer. What does she know??

She won't really leave. Just thinks I'm crazy but AT LEAST YOU GUYS ARE MY FRIENDS!

Personally Solar Eclipse is out of this world if you ask me, but remember the regular one is 18%, can't wait to see how the BB one measures out, not for the faint of heart. Solar Eclipse has been a weird story. They haven't been able to get it right since 2009 after a couple of unsuccessful attmepts (and I've been waiting), I think this is their last known good batch, maybe 2010 but not sure. It was on the initial list last year and they ended up dumping it (or naming it something else and calling it a sour  I plan on buying as much of this as my pocket book will allow.

Talked to an employee there a few weeks ago and he said that they tried to brew another batch and it became infected...said they dumped the whole thing. What is the deal with this beer?? Has Wale written all over it! lol

Yes that solar eclipse was freakin awesome! Aged for about 2 years, it was fantastic. BBA version should be very, very nice

I was there last week and asked the bartender what bottles they would have. She said they wouldn't give out an official list yet in case they weren't able to make enough of (insert beer here) for the party. This must be what she was talking about.

The batch released in 2010 was good initially, but I had a bottle in 2011 and I felt it was going downhill. It wasn't from my cellar, I think it was bottled in 2011 and not as part of the original 2010 bottling, so I do want to go back to one of my cellared bottles and check but I haven't gotten around to that.

I drank my last 2001 BB 4D last night. Thought it might have a bit of an infection going on, it was a bit sour. But can't wait for this Solstice!
