I would really like to get my hands on some Raspberry Eisbock, but being that it's on a Friday morning, I won't be able to attend. I want to, but can't request time off of work just yet. Not sure if they'll be doing any bottle limits, but if you have an extra bottle or two, please let me know.

If anybody was at 4 Elf, but can't make it to Solstice, I'm happy to swap some BB4D, etc. for some BBPt5. Inbox me if interested.

Do you actually mean 2010 or 2011?

Apparently you've never been to Kuhnheen's . . . Great place, great people, super disorganized. When we were there, they had no idea what beers they had in bottles and they are known for "finding cases" in the back after thinking they are out

I'm trying to think when I last cracked one of these and now that I think about it, I don't think I've even touched my BB4D's from 2011. The last two years on my birthday, I broke out a 2010 bottle.

I did share a 2011 regular 4D with a buddy about a month ago, and no signs of going downhill or infection in that one.

Had one this week as well, no infection. I have had carbonation issues, however. Some perfect, some low...

I had a bunch of 2011 and all have been good. This was the first one that had something wrong. Good thing I get new ones in 2 weeks!

I just got back from the Dark Horse event. I had a great time and met a few good BA members. Look forward to seeing them again at this event. Wondering what time would make sense to show up considering how they did the release last year and hoping they do it the same way as last year.

I was thinking of showing up around 11:00. But my son goes to the school next door to Kuhnhenn and my wife drops him off at 9:00. I might just hitch a ride and get dropped off at the same time.

See you fine gents there. Took the day off work and plan to park my ass at the bar and drink all day. If anybody is interested in anything available in Ohio, BM me. My cellar is pretty full.

They do this completely different than Dark Horse. You can come at any time to get bottles and enjoy the party without waiting in a line. You get a numbered order form when you get there to fill out what you want and they call your number when your order is ready. They are not much faster than Dark Horse, but it doesn't matter because you're enjoying the party instead of waiting in line.

Some things do sellout after awhile, but I think anyone that was there by 11:00AM got all the they wanted last year. I'm sure more people will be there this year, so if you really care about getting a specific bottle, I wouldn't come much later than that.

Dark Horse should take note of how Kuhnhenn does it if they want the focus to be on the party. They could take order forms first thing in the morning and start packing them up until the party starts. Making it a cash only even would help too.

Cash only sure would speed things up quite a bit but in this day and age a large amount of people choose not to carry cash even in small amounts in order to protect themselves against theft or loss. I personally carry cash but hold nothing against anyone that prefers the comfort of plastic.

I got there last year around 6 and the only thing they were sold out of was the Cherry Oude Bruin. Which it just so happens, was my number one want they had on the list last year. Oh well though, i still got plenty of BBBW and BA4D. As far as i know, they haven't changed any rules for bottle sharing, but you may want to give them a call to double check next week.

No bottle shares on premise anymore. Last Winter Solistice was the last time you could do that.
