    Kuhnhenn just posted the Facebook Event + Eventbrite Link for the 2016 Winter Solstice, which will be held 12/16-12/17. For the first time it's being held at the newer Clinton Township taproom. Looks like they're changing the bottle sale setup pretty significantly.

    The Party looks more or less the same, but the bottles are being reserved via Eventbrite. "Ticket" is a required donation of $0.50/bottle, but they encourage you to give more. Donations support Cass Community Social Services. Bottles being released (limit 4 each):
    • Sherry Barrel Nine ($8)
    • Tenacious Cassis ($9)
    • Bourbon Barrel Barleywine ($9.50)
    • American Barleywine ($8)
    • 4D (regular) ($8)
    Nice that they're letting you pick the bottles you want - the pre-packed 4/6 packs of recent years weren't ideal, especially if there were beers in there you really didn't like (hello BBA Olde Village Stock Ale.)

    You can pickup your bottles any time between 11:00am on Saturday 12/17 and 10:00pm on Sunday 12/18.

    I'm actually more excited for the regular. I may be in the minority, but I think I actually prefer it over the BA version... heresy!

    It is strange, since I've basically looked at the Winter Solstice as the de facto BB4D release party, with anything else basically counting as a bonus (I.e. BBBW). Also, I wish they'd bring back the Forbidden IPA from 2013 (I think).

    I have not been made to a solstice in 7 or 8 years, but I just dropped a $10.00 donation for those less fortunate and reserved 4 bottles to be picked up to at my leisure next weekend.

    I'm glad they are sticking with the Eventbrite setup and allowing you to pick up the bottles on either Saturday or Sunday. This past Raspberry Eisbock release was super smooth. It's a win-win for everyone involved, including the CCSS. I won't be maxing out the allotment but I will definitely be grabbing 1-2 of each bottle.

    Anyone know if they'll post a tap list this week prior to the event? Haven't noticed one anywhere yet.

    They don't normally do this. Usually someone who is there early on will take a pic and post it for everyone. Only exception was their anny party where they did post a list (though some of the list they posted was wrong anyways).

    Anyone have any information on tenacious cassis? Is it the same beer that was sold in the nib bottles? I could have sworn that was around 13/187 ml yet this is 9/bottle

    I went last night for the taps and it was pretty dead. Wonder if it was because they had it in ClintonTwp instead of Warren.

    Just waiting patiently for it to be 7 o'clock so I can head over when I get out of work. Just buying bottles, can't drink anything. Tap list looks pretty good though.

    This place is pretty dead now, and the tent is practically empty. Unfortunately they're out of the BBBW inside.
