Heading to LA later this week for a work conference. Staying at the Hyatt Century Plaza. Did my Beerfly research but have no idea what is near the hotel. Looking for brew pubs or beers bars that are a short cab ride away (Blue Palms,surly Goat,Daily Pint,Father's Office, etc. Thanks in advance for any and all recommendations
Century City is kind of a no man's land. Nothing within walking distance (except maybe Wally's for bottles). Without consulting a map, I would think that Surly Goat is the closest cab ride option. Next closest are probably the Santa Monica beer bars (Daily Pint, Library Alehouse, Father's Office). The SM Father's Office location is pretty small, and usually packed. There are some "lesser known" beer bars in the area but I would say you're within striking distance of those big boys, so might as well go for it.
Thanks for the info, afraid I was in a veritable no man's land when doing my research.. Looks like Santa Monica is the ticket.
Century City sucks, Vendome Beverly Hills is pretty close, technically the Surly Goat is closer but I think if you to Santa Monica you'll have better options of bar hopping. They apparently have pedi-cabs on main st now so that might be a bar hoppin option. Just comeback in 2066 when the Purple line is done.
everytime I hear Century City I think of the Circle Jerks.... Beverly Hills, Century City everything so nice and pretty....
