LA Beer Week 2015

Great turn out last night at beachwood cascade taps were dropping like flies , my personal favorite was baked blackberry tasted like a blackberry pie , anywho I'll be there tonight let me know if your coming might have a table and meet up with any of you guys/gals

The meeting of the guilds is tonight @ najas place in redondo beach but I can't find a tap list that they will have does anyone have any info? It's starts at 6pm so i hope to make it there after beachwood since that also starts at 6

 

A good buddy who I work with will be at Naja's way b4 6. He's a Naja regular. I'll message him on "what's on" while he's there. I was also thinking of stopping in (before BW) depending on what's on tap. I haven't been to Naja's in a very very long time. It's just a pain in the arse place to get in and get out safely for me. It'll be after 6 if I do stop in, otherwise I'll have to put up with the 405 nightmare from LAX to LB.

 

How packed was it at Beachwood LB last night? I saw that they went through 15 kegs of Cascade stuff in under 4 hours so I figure it was pretty busy. Any ideas on how long of a wait there was for tables?

 

I wasn't there because I wanted to save my energy for tonight but I imagine it was quite busy for that much beer to run out so quickly. Now I am having second thoughts about tonight since it should be WAY busier. :/

 

It was crazy packed. There was barely any standing room on the outdoor patio. Tonight is probably going to be worse :/

I walked by around 7:30 because I was doing dinner elsewhere and it was like that. Walked back around 9:30 and it was only slightly better.

 

Maybe I should skip the Brewers Guild @ Naja's and go straight to BWLB.

 

Not sure how long the wait ended up being, but I know they weren't seating people until their whole party was present (not that they necessarily know exactly how many people you plan on having at your table--you could just lie to get seated sooner).

I got there last night around 5pm and all the spots at the bar were already taken. Ended up at a stool table in the bar area that someone was luckily willing to share with me. By the time the Cascade started pouring, the crowd around the bar was 3 deep in every direction. It only thinned out after more than half the beers were gone, but when I left at 9:30-ish, the place was still pretty packed and bustling. Great fucking time!

 

Yea yesterday was jam packed get there early to get any seat, and the kegs kicked 2 at a time

 

I would like to know as well.

 

I figured it would be busy tonight but I was guessing that Cascade night would be the busiest night of the week. Guess we'll see.

 

Yesterday was expected to be the busiest night and I hope today isn't as bad

 

I'm pretty sure they didn't? I waltzed in at around 5:30 and had no problem scoring two of the BAs and they still had Uncultured left from the night before. It's not like there was a line of people dying to get in at that time. The two-bottle limit bodes well for you tonight considering Uncultured had a bottle limit of 8 on Monday and there was plenty left on Tuesday.

 

I was told there are about 60 btls left. Awesome beer. Highl(and)y recommend it.

 

I've only been to HPB once for my Cherry ****z pickup but LOVED Lazy Susan on draft. Any chance this will be one of the bottle releases this week? Definitely willing to fight traffic and the long commute for that one.

 

that may be the rumoured re-release coming this week.
