LA Beer Week Opening Event

    Agree with what was said above. This was a really great event at a great location. I was a bit nervous when I entered and found out that it was a ticket system and you'd have to get in a line to receive more tickets if you wanted to drink more (which...absurdly, had the co-owner of Smog City giving people nonsensical sobriety tests like an hour into the fest).

    But as the day went on, the vendors collected fewer and fewer tickets and it became a game as to which ones were "cool" and didn't ask for one.

    Highlights for me were beers from Highland Park Brewery, King Harbor, and Beachwood BBQ. It was also great to try breweries I'd never heard of before (Prospect Brewing, Ritual Brewing, and Pacific Plate).

    All in all, worth the money and would bang again.
