I'd say there's no chance of that. But I did have the Winter DIPA at the brewery yesterday and it's absolutely fantastic. If they're pouring that it will be well worth the visit.

Get some Vietnamese bun and eggrolls at Golden Deli down the street, or Pho across the street from it. Beijing Pie house for some lamb pies and dumplings down in Monterey Park. beef rolls and dumplings at 101 noodle express on valley is probably best closest choice. These are just some of the ones i like.. the area is loaded with great food. All of these I learned from a BAdvocate

If you like authentic Japanese ramen, there's Daikokuya in Monterey Park in the building located at the corner of Atlantic and Garvey.

For gourmet hot dogs/sausages, there's Dog Haus about a 1/4 mile east on Main. Not the best, but they're solid.

I haven't been to an event thus far. I am probably going to hit up the Smog City event at Tony's tomorrow.

This year seems a bit less exciting in terms of events than last year.

Great suggestions for restaurants near 38 Degrees. I've got one to add - Hui Tou Xiang, just down Main street across from golden deli. Their Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are very nearly as good as legendary din tai fung, and theyre cheaper and there's never a line. The Hui Tou are also damn good.

As for other events, I'm considering the Modern Times night at Verdugo and the Carnival at Eagle Rock Brewery (no idea what that will be like...) on Friday, and I'm definitely planning on hitting up Smog City on Saturday.

I'm planning to go to Modern Times night at Verdugo Bar, since I never had any of their beers before and it saves me a trip to go to San Diego.

went to the Stone event at Verdugo. 2003 RIS was interesting

went to the Beachwood event at Tony's on Tuesday. Mind Melder is incredible.

every time i go to Tony's i realize how I am not really a fan of that place. great beer selection. not the greatest bartenders

hoping to check out Smog City on Saturday

Kern night was pretty cool. I got hopped out pretty quickly though (that Dirty Hippie is no joke, followe by 3 samplers) and had a pour of Eric's ale from previous night.

Smog City night at Tony's tonight was pretty chill. Bourbon O.E. is no joke.
