Definitely do the 38 Degrees share. You won't regret it.

 

We had a couple really good ones at Beer Belly not too long ago that I know @Earlycsquid was organizing that were a blast. I looked forward to going to them ... Possibly starting these up again?!?

 

Yeah, Beer Belly was a fun spot for a share, really enjoyed the one I went to.

i've been tempted to try and start an East Side one (Silver Lake area-ish) but my schedule is very unpredictable so it's hard for me to make plans. also, i've never done one so don't know what i'm doing

 

With the world cup scheduling and my own schedule being a bit backed up, I haven't put one together for a while, but plans are under way for another bottle share in the weeks to come.

One thing we were stuck on is if we should have it on Saturdays instead of Sundays during the day. I mean, it's not like we really go hard, but people were suggesting needing recovery time.

Thoughts?

I'm good either way. Earlycsquid, did you pay for some food for everyone at the last big one? I feel like I owe you some $ for fried twinkies or something.

 

@Earlycsquid Really depends on the specific Saturday or Sunday. Though I'd probably prefer Sunday because a) Not worried about "recovery time" necessarily -- as you alluded to, and b) As a college football fan, Saturdays are pretty sacred in my book once/if we get into September.

Have a few brews coming my way in the next few weeks that are worth sharing. If timing works out, would love to bring.

 

George (Sportstsar) was the one that bought a round of desserts for the group. He's cool like that.

For the most part, any money you feel indebted to is better suited put into the venue. I always feel a bit guilty using their space, so I suggest and schedule it around the time when you'd be eating something anyway so that ordering from Beer Belly's great menu is just nature of a choice.

I live in the LA area as well and Im new to bottle shares. I attended my first one not too long ago and had a blast! Would love if I could get a heads up next time one gets planned.

"If we get into September"?! I really hope you don't have apocalyptic knowledge that you're not sharing with the rest of us. On topic, I think it'd be really fun to meet up for monthly or bi-monthly bottle shares. Looking forward to when this gets going.
