    Hi All,

I am a NorCal BA, but staying in LA for the next week or two. Was looking for a recommendation for a bottle shop in the area. I am staying in Mar Vista, near Venice/Santa Monica. If anyone can recommend bottle shops in the area... that would be amazing. Got myself a 3 month old baby, so distance is an issue.

Thanks folks! And any hidden gem bars in the area would be great! I know about a few.. but all advice is welcome

    Thanks,

    Adam

Whole Foods on Lincoln has a pretty decent beer selection. Daily Pint is probably your closest solid beer bar, although not really a "hidden gem." What I like about DP is that they update their Taphunter list every day.

Wally's on Westwood is close, as is Vendome Bev Hills on Olympic. And if you're really close to the Whole Foods Mar Vista, you can always find something good there (and occasionally something special).

Beverage Warehouse in the Marina del Rey-ish area is within striking distance as well.

Someone already mentioned Wally's. It's worth it if you can get there. Vendome in Beverly Hills is cluttered and disorganized. The one in Toluca Lake is MUCH better but that's probably further than you want to go.

Some other places you may want to check out:

El Segundo: The Whole Foods in El Segundo (just South of LAX) has the best selection of any grocery store I've ever been to, plus a bar that does samples and tastings and has 20 craft beers on tap. There is a BevMo nearby, too, on Rosecrans if you want a large selection of warm beer. If you have time, there is also a Rock & Brews in downtown El Segundo. El Segundo Brewing is literally right across the street (I think their tap room opens at 4 during the week but don't quote me on that).

Near LAX: Brewster's, the hotel beer bar at the Four Points Sheraton, has around 10-12 craft beers on tap and a large selection of beers in bottles and cans. This place is legit when it comes to craft beer. The food is pretty good, too.

Marina Del Rey: There is a new Yard House there with 140 tap handles and good food.
