Anyone know anything about them? Apparently they'll be opening sometime this summer along Lancaster Ave, right across from Berwyn Station. I drive by there a lot, and it doesn't appear to be close to opening any time soon, but they're making great progress. As a Malvern resident, I'm really looking forward to this - another train line brewery. From what I've gathered their sour, Brettophile, has made waves already by those who have had it. A few articles: http://www.phillymag.com/foobooz/2016/03/22/la-cabra-brewing-opening-in-berwyn-this-summer/ http://articles.philly.com/2013-10-25/news/43364876_1_best-beer-brewers-association-brewery Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/La-Cabra-Brewing-182796981781625/
I don't know any info, other than that the brewer definitely has a good reputation from homebrewing. But I just thought the juxtaposition of the 2013 and 2016 pictures was kind of humorous. "Oh shit, better ditch the tie and grow a beard for some beer geek street-cred".
I was able to try some of Dan's Brettophile Extra, Dona Gloria, and Villancico a while back, and all were excellent. To his credit, it seems he's been working on getting the beer down for several years before this brewery became a reality. Looking forward to them opening, and will definitely be making the drive to check things out once they do.
