Did I miss something? Have they stopped brewing Ryeot, formerly Red Ryeot??? I’ve asked them on their FB site, sent emails asking and it’s like crickets out there…..

Its not listed on their site as a year-round or seasonal beer. There are some random checkins on Untappd recently so it must have been made not too long ago, or people are drinking liquid cardboard.

It would please me if they sent Elevated to Bellingham on the regular. One of my all-time favorite IPAs.

Agreed with Elevated, it's a top tier wcipa, I buy it anytime I am in Phoenix as they don't distribute to San Diego.

I’m headed to New Mexico in April and am happy to see Elevated on nearly every restaurant tap list.

As long as malpais and elevated keep flowing I'm good. @erway is red ryeot DOA?

Elevated is an elite IPA when it's fresh. I'd put it up there with literally anything.

This is feeling like a good place to talk about New Mexico in general. My wife, 10-year old daughter and myself will be spending four nights in Santa Fe, one night in Taos and two nights in Albuquerque before flying home to Seattle. Breweries aren’t the focus of our family trip, but they’re always fun to hang out at and play some Skipbo. Bow & Arrow is a definite must visit for me with the Native American connection. Would like to check out La Cumbre if it works out and probably one or two others during our stay. Would love to hear people’s thoughts and if you’ve got any favorite restaurants in general.

@lordofthewiens may have some ideas. I spent a weekend in Santa fe. I drank a LOT of la cumbre. Check out the santiario de Chimayo if you're into history. It's just outside Santa fe and is pretty rad. Not beer related in any way. Just a cool little spot if you're into that kind of thing.

The best advice I can give to anyone going to New Mexico is to eat all the chile you can. Red, green, mixed ("Christmas" style) and on/in anything you can think of. The food down there is mostly unique to the state and it's absolutely wonderful. On the beer front, ABQ has one of the strongest IPA scenes in the country. Maybe even the strongest considering how style preferences have shifted a bit elsewhere. Luckily, even if you're in Santa Fe you'll be able to try a pile of those beers. There are a half dozen bars just around the main plaza and between them you'll find a pile of NM taps.

Bow & Arrow is about 3 miles from the original La Cumbre location on Girard. Quite convenient. The La Cumbre westside taproom is a bit further west (~5 miles away), but has more room, iirc.

Also: @Domingo is absolutely right about eating as much chile as you can.

Just want to piggy back off @Domingo the food style is I combination of Mexican foods and indigenous peoples food, which gives the whole menu its own style. My wife hails from Alamosa CO, and the influence of the New Mexican food culture reaches up there. Green chile isn't a soupy gravy like most Mexican places try to push. It's more of a chunky stew. Find a place like LA Paragua in española if you really want a treat. Their beans and chicos are off the chain.

Skipbo is as great of a game as Elevated is a great IPA. Both top tier!

Quiddler is king of card games bro. Love playing it with my cousins. Skip bo is a close second.

Yes, unfortunately sales of Ryeot have never been great and they only got worse over the past 24 months, so we discontinued it in cans.

I seriously apologize. This was my mistake. I did answer... from a ski lift. Apparently, it did not go through. I was aware that it didn't go through and I forgot to resend later on. I tried again this past weekend... again from a ski lift (lucky me), and again it didn't go through so I reached out to our marketing director, Cory. Hopefully Cory got back to you a couple of nights ago. We don't always respond through FB right away on weekends, but I try to if I see it. Again, my bad.

Unfortunately, they were closed last time I was passing through. But there are literally 100s of good to great places in the Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque corridor to sample the chili.

Closed as in permanent? There's a hole in the wall in Ojo Caliente that also has great food, I can't remember the name, but they put chicos in their pinto beans. I guess I like beans and chicos.

We've got ski lifts up on Mt Baker, if you wanted to drop off a case on your way to get, ahem, Elevated.....

Seriously though, Elevated is a great beer, on my all-time favorite IPA list, and very near the top. I always enjoy it when I can get a few cans. Great work!

I think its a staffing issue. The same family owns El Parasol and that is a super busy little place so La Paragua might have gotten the short end of the stick.
