LA/Glendale recommendations

I'm in!

 

If you're out by Eagle Rock Brewery, Highland Park is not too far and a must stop for great food (get the brussel sprouts, trust me) and obviously great beer (see one of the more active brewery threads here). Also sounds like you're making your way to the IE border, so I highly recommend stopping at Homage in Pomona just before you hit Rancho/Ontario. There are some solid spots on the Rancho Brew Mile as well, my favorites at the moment are Hamilton Family and Sour Cellars. A lot of people like Kings too, but I have my reasons for putting them below some of the other breweries in the area. Claremont craft is a little underrated too IMO.

 

I wholeheartedly agree that those "water" glasses were horrible. I always thought the same thing and hated drinking out of them when I used to sell beer to them and patronize The bar in the past. It even affected the flavor and aromatics of the beer at times. I got rid of them shortly after I came on board (We now have the Willie Belcher Style pint glasses similar to the ones that Monkish and Noble use, as well as Belgian Style tall tulips and snifters) They also leaned heavy on Midwest /Pac NW breweries and had way too few IPA's on when I began, that obviously has changed. Going to keep things exciting over there. Have some more great events coming up in the next couple of months as well.

As far as a bottle share goes I'm thinking either a Tues or Weds night would work best.

Anybody up for Tues March 7th? Weds Mar 8th could be another option.
