    If you go to the zoo with the family, bring in your own beer. Don't flaunt it of course, but you have a 1 and 5 year old so you'll have a stroller and diaper bag/back pack. It's an easy way to get stuff in. Plus, cruising the zoo with some fine beers is one of my favorite things to do in San Diego.

    Ooo, you might be able to get Modern Times in cans by the time you get here. Thay would be fantastic.

    United States, near la Jolla village drive and 5. Best beer selection I ever seen. The sandwiches to go would be awesome for any day adventure. Try Sammy's wood fired pizza, or Eureka Burger? Both near LVD and Gennese. Also for the kids the Birch Aquarium by UCSD is a great place, and the cafe there has great food, etc.

    They have a respectable selection of beer (especially for a deli), but "best ever"? Even Whole Foods (which is just a block away) has a lot more. You must not get around much.
