Didn't the folks at the sour tasting recently say this was one of the poorest of the Morte offerings? I assume this will just be another 'shelf' release for WW.
The Morte's have been hit or miss for me. Kiwi did little for my taste buds but Cerise Morte, my goodness, it may be the best beer WW brewed this year. I will try it out, if I like it, I can walk over and buy a case.
Wish it was the time of year I'm up there! Cerise and Framboos were great. Kiwi was okay. Not a huge kiwi fan. I do like the brewery only release and they usually last a fair bit too. Admittedly wicked weed prices them too high to make getting a bunch worthwhile.
Cerise and Framboos were probably my two favorite WW beers so far, definitely as far as sours go. I couldn't imagine buying a whole case of something like that from them though, they're just too pricey and they make too many different ones to do that. Would rather spread it out a little.
Looks like I will be buying bottles of this delicious blackberry sour. Well balanced, presents the fruit without it being overpowering. My second favorite Mortensen behind Cerise.
